What we collect
Your name, email address and the financial records you choose to enter: expenses, income, transfers, investments, budgets, recurring payments, currency rates and any documents you upload.
How your data is isolated
Every record belongs to exactly one household. Database-level row security rules mean a request can only ever return rows from a household you are a member of — this is enforced by the database itself, not by the app screens. Uploaded documents live in a private storage area scoped to the same household.
Passwords and sessions
Passwords are handled entirely by the authentication service and are never stored, logged or readable by the application. Sessions are managed by the authentication client; signing out clears the session on your device.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your financial data. Only people you invite into your household can see it, limited by the role you give them. Privacy-locked records are visible only to the member who locked them.
Your rights
You can export all of your household's records at any time from the Backup screen, correct any record, and request deletion of your household and account.
Exports and backups
Backups and exports you generate are produced in your browser and named Family-Expense-Tracker_[type]_[date]. They contain only records your account is allowed to read.
Local storage
Your browser stores your sign-in session and display preferences (such as your preferred display currency) locally on your device. Signing out clears the session.
